Volunteer Environmental Educator Training
Urban Wilderness Program Training

Outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy working with children are invited to this training to become certified volunteers to help teach Urban Wilderness programs to students in grades 4-5. Field trip programs are offered to grade-school groups on weekdays in spring and fall at River's Edge Natural Area.
Urban Wilderness topics include: Rivers & Watersheds, Grasslands & Open Spaces, a Macro-invertebrate River Lab, Adaptations (MAD), and Urban Wildlife-Living With Nature.
Additional training for the river lab will be offered Thursday afternoon, March 22.
Training for other school programs (Wildlife Around Us and Plants & Places) offered March 21 and 23. Volunteers may select one or more days and topics.
No experience is necessary for volunteers and all training and materials are provided free of charge.
Potential volunteers are encouraged to attend an Informational Open House on March 8 from 6-7:30 pm at the Parks & Recreation Office at 500 E Third St, Suite 200 in Loveland.
