Volunteer Environmental Educator Training
Plants & Places Program Training

Outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy working with children are invited to this training to become certified volunteers to help teach Plants & Places programs to students in grades 3-5. Field trip programs are offered to grade-school groups on weekdays in spring and fall at River's Edge Natural Area.
Plants & Places topics include: Cottonwoods; Cattails & Pond Life; Seed Dispersal; Unique & Hazardous Plants of Loveland; and a Habitat Hike with plant ID and awareness.
Training for other school programs (Urban Wilderness and Wildlife Around Us) offered March 20 and 21. Volunteers may select one or more days and topics.
No experience is necessary for volunteers and all training and materials are provided free of charge.
Potential volunteers are encouraged to attend an Informational Open House on March 8 from 6-7:30 pm at the Parks & Recreation Office at 500 E Third St, Suite 200 in Loveland.
