Loveland, Colorado – Starting on Monday, April 10 and continuing for four days, City of Loveland Water Operations crews will begin flushing fire hydrants in the northwest quadrant of Loveland. The area involved is north of U.S. 34 and west of Colorado Avenue.
Annual fire hydrant flushing is a routine part of fire hydrant maintenance. Flushing keeps the interior of pipes clean, ensures hydrants are working properly and helps us to maintain excellent water quality. During the flushing, discolored water may occur. DO NOT wash clothes while the water is discolored as the rust in the water may cause stains.
Flushing will take place for the next four weeks in different quadrants of the city. For more information, please call (970) 962-3720.
