Loveland residents must present a current yard debris permit to drop off yard/wood debris. 
 

To obtain a permit, call the Solid Waste Division at 962-2529 or stop by the office at 105 W. Fifth St.

 

The items below must be kept separated from each other.  Multiple items listed under one bullet can be mixed.

  • Grass clippings, leaves and garden trimmings
  • Branches and logs
  • Wood waste…raw, untreated wood only; no treated, stained or painted wood
  • Scrap metal…engines containing oil and fuel must be drained in advance
  • Wire…fencing, clothes hangers, bed springs, etc.
  • Large appliances…refrigerators, ranges, washers, dryers, water heaters, etc.
  • Small household appliances…microwave ovens, toasters, blow-dryers, etc.
  • Automotive and household batteries
  • Tires…$2.00 to $30.00, depending on size
  • Glass bottles and jars…beverage and food glass only; remove caps/lids and rinse
  • Mixed plastic and metal containers…remove caps/lids and rinse
    • Aluminum and steel cans…empty paint and aerosol cans are also accepted
    • Plastic containers #1-7…no bags, food trays or Styrofoam
  • Corrugated cardboard…remove packing materials and flatten; cardboard pieces should be cut down to no larger than 4’ x 4’
  • Paperboard…remove box liners and flatten; phone books and softbound books are also accepted
  • Newspaper, magazines and catalogs
  • Office paper, direct mail and shredded paper
  • Paper milk and juice cartons…rinse and flatten; no foil-lined soy/rice milk, drink and soup boxes accepted
  • Large durable #2-type plastics…toys like Big Wheels, play structures, lawn furniture, watering containers, laundry baskets, buckets, crates, rigid child pools and trash containers
  • Plastic #2 plant containers…one-gallon or larger only
  • Plastic bags #2 and #4-type…clean, dry bags only; no sandwich bags, plastic food wrap or trash bags
  • Motor oil and filters…puncture top and drain for at least 24 hours
  • Anti-freeze
  • Cooking oil
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Propane bottles and tanks
  • Toilets and other porcelain fixtures
  • Concrete…no rebar or reinforcement
  • Hardbound books
  • Clothing and paired shoes
  • TVs…$8.00 to $30.00, depending on size
