Biography
Kent Solt grew up
in Longmont. He earned a journalism/mass communications degree from the
University of Northern Colorado and a law degree from the University of
Nebraska. Before moving to Loveland in 2002, Kent lived and worked in
Colorado Springs.
Kent enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Jennifer,
and their three children: Elijah, Lincoln, and Amelia.
He coaches youth basketball, soccer, baseball, and tee-ball.
He also volunteers in his children’s classrooms and has served as the
accountability chairperson at their elementary school. In addition, he is
active in the ministries of his church.
Licensed to practice law in Colorado, Kent works as an
editorial manager for LexisNexis Legal Publishing. He supervises a team of
25 attorney-editors.
Kent is a 2005 graduate of the Colorado Institute for
Leadership Training (CILT) program. During CILT, Kent spent 10 weekends
touring the state with a diverse group of civic-minded leaders. The group
heard from elected officials and regional experts on topics of importance to
all Coloradoans.
Kent’s
hobbies include reading histories and biographies, traveling, playing
basketball, and studying the rise of modern China. |
