“Rapid Review” Over-the-Counter Plan Review Program
Beginning on April 1, 2016, the City of Loveland Building Division initiated a new Rapid Review process. On this date and occurring every Friday thereafter, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the Building Division will accept and process walk-in building permit applications requiring plan review for the following types of Residential projects:
• Patio Covers
• Basement Finishes
• Residential Accessory Structures (under 1000sf)
• Egress Windows
• Miscellaneous small projects (as determined by the Plans Reviewer)
*The largest size documentation/drawings that can be accepted is 11x17.
*Project eligibility is at the discretion of the Plan Examiner and is dependent upon size and scope of project. Only 1 project per person may be done during this time.
Staff from the City of Loveland Building and Planning Divisions will be available to process and review building permit applications during the stated times, allowing customers to obtain expedited building permits at the counter for a variety of projects typically required to be submitted for review.
Applicants wishing to obtain a building permit under the Rapid Review program must submit their building permit application in person to the Building Division no later than 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Applicants must remain at the Building Division offices for the duration of the permitting and review period.
Applications that are complete and accompanied by all required documents and information will be processed and a permit issued while you wait. All fees are due at the time of issuance of the permit and standard plan review fees will be assessed for building permit applications processed through the Rapid Review program.
Applications must be complete and accompanied by all documents and information required for the project type to be reviewed in order to qualify for Rapid Review. All contractors listed on permit applications must possess a valid City of Loveland Contractor’s License. Applicants must remain at the Building Division offices for the duration of the application processing and review period.
