Celebrate National Trails Day in Loveland!

Ride bikes. Explore local trails. Join a bird walk. Build a new trail.

A free event at Oxbow Natural Area (1140 Rossum Dr.)

8:00 a.m.

Volunteer-led bird walk departs from Morey Wildlife Reserve (5439 Cedar Valley Dr.) for a leisurely 0.7 mile walk along the Big Thompson River corridor. Spotting scope available for use.

Register for the bird walk.

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Join other volunteers to help build Loveland's newest soft-surface trail, a 0.3 mile loop in Oxbow Natural Area East. No experience necessary; tools provided (gloves recommended).

Ride

Cyclists and pedestrians are invited to enjoy the new section of the paved Loveland Recreation Trail from Namaqua Rd. to Rossum Dr. Bike parking available at Oxbow Natural Area. This ride is part of Loveland Bike Month.

Plus! Interactive demos on leave-no-trace and bicycle safety. Score excellent door prizes. Activities for all ages.

Parking

Limited parking at Oxbow Natural Area; overflow parking at LaQuinta Inn (1450 Cascade Ave.) and Mariana Butte Clubhouse (701 Clubhouse Dr.). Shuttles run 8:45 - 12:15 from Oxbow to overflow parking sites.
