Mission

Protect the City's wastewater collection and treatment systems and the water quality of the Big Thompson River.

Vision

Ensure that non-residential customers' wastewater is adequately treated using reasonable control mechanisms and pollution prevention techniques.

Objectives

  • Protect the City of Loveland's sewer system from pollutants that could interfere with the collection system or wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) processes.
  • Protect the Big Thompson River from non-domestic pollutants that could pass through the WWTP untreated, and ensure that the plant’s biosolids can be used as a soil conditioner and fertilizer.
  • Protect city employees from potentially harmful discharges.
