The City of Loveland is proud
to be known as the community “Where Art and Science Meet.” Each day
Loveland’s entrepreneurs and their employees are creating,
innovating and growing dynamic companies which offer products and
services that change lives. The Loveland Arts Economy is thriving
with more than 30 galleries, 2 foundries and over 300 sculptures
located within our City limits.
Loveland has many “home grown”
technology and bioscience companies such as
Heska Corporation,
Jorgenson Laboratories,
Technology Driven Products,
Colorado
vNet, and SA Robotics.
In addition, Loveland enjoys the presence of international companies
such as Woodward,
Praxair,
Agilent and HACH.
In September of 2008, the
Loveland City Council adopted an
Economic Development Policy
which includes a multifaceted approach to job attraction, retention
and expansion. This policy includes information on free services
available to small business owners and incentive standards for both
primary employers and retail and commercial developers. In 2008,
the City of Loveland awarded $1.34 million in incentives to primary
employers and retailers.
The City of Loveland recognizes
the importance of a sustainable, healthy economy and the need to
develop and invigorate all areas of our community. In 2002, the
City established the Loveland Urban Renewal Authority and since that
time has designated 3 project areas. The first, in 2002 was 230
acres in Downtown Loveland. In 2004, the City established the
Centerra URA at the intersection of Interstate 25 and US Highway
34. This project covers 2070 acres of land, with a maximum of 900
acres to be included in the collection of tax increment. In 2005,
the Lincoln Place URA created a project area in Downtown Loveland
which has resulted in the creation of a parking structure, 200
apartments and 22,000 sq ft of commercial space.
Loveland, Colorado really is
the place “Where Art and Science Meet.” We welcome the opportunity
to assist you with your business development needs and we thank you
for doing business in Loveland.
Sincerely;

Don F. Williams
