Development Manager
Mission
The mission of the City of Loveland Business Development Office is to
assist citizens, community groups and economic development organizations
with the creation and retention of sustainable employment which
contributes to the long term economic diversity of our community.
We accomplish this by:

Promoting
collaboration with our economic development partners at local, regional
and state levels;

Fostering an
environment supportive of entrepreneurial endeavors;

Supporting the
recruitment of primary jobs to the region; and

Marketing Loveland, Colorado and it's strengths as a
community with a proactive business climate and highly educated and
trained workforce.
Employers
Loveland has a strong and diverse economic base and is home to many bioscience
and high tech companies such as Terra Soft Solutions,
Cadeka Microcircuits and
AVA Solar. Loveland's diverse economy includes; A
Wal-Mart Distribution Center, Kroll Factual Data, and the headquarters of
Five
Rivers Cattle Feeding Company. A strong construction and development
sector thrives, and the healthcare segment continues to grow with the opening of
the Orthopedic Center of the Rockies
at Boyd Lake Village in 2009 and the continued success of
Banner-McKee Hospital
and the
Medical Center of the Rockies.
Culture
Two internationally acclaimed arts festivals are held every August;
The High
Plains Arts Council's Sculpture in the Park, and the
Loveland Invitational
Sculpture Show. The
Chapungu Sculpture Garden, featuring
Zimbabwe stone pieces, opened in 2006 at the
Promenade Shops at Centerra.
There are over 300 sculptures located throughout the sculptures throughout the
city, many are located in
Benson Sculpture Park.
Retail & Restaurants
An exciting retail and restaurant community prospers in Loveland. In
Historic Downtown Loveland shoppers can browse in the many art galleries and
one-of-a-kind boutique shops and afterwards choose to dine on anything from
burgers to steak in one of the cafes or fine dining establishments.
Shopping and dining is not confined to downtown, visit the
Promenade Shops at Centerra for famous name restaurants such as P.F. Chang's and the Bent Fork and
shopping in stores that include Macy's, Coldwater Creek, White
House/Black Market and J. Jill. Just across I-25 from the Promenade Shops at Centerra
is the Outlets of Loveland, where you can shop for labels such as
Nike, Polo and Coach at below retail prices.
Education
Located in the heart of Northern Colorado's Education Triangle, Loveland's
workforce is highly educated. Colorado State University is 8 miles north,
the University of Northern Colorado is 22 miles east and the
University of
Colorado at Boulder is 35 miles southwest of the City. Loveland also
enjoys the presence of Aims Community College,
Front Range Community College and
Colorado Christian University.
Entertainment
Loveland is home ice for the Minor League Hockey Team the
Colorado Eagles.
Home ice is at the Budweiser Events Center at the Ranch, which, when not being
used for hockey, offers entertainment choices such as Disney Playhouse,
Lipizzaner Stallions, Annie, Monster Truck Shows and the Harlem Globe Trotters.
