Liquor Licensing in the City of Loveland

In the State of Colorado obtaining a liquor license is a dual process beginning at the local level. A dual process requires review and approval from the Local Licensing Authority and State Liquor Enforcement Division. Licenses for the sale of Alcoholic Beverages are administered by the Local Licensing Authority. The City Clerk acts as liaison and serves as the Secretary to the Authority.

Businesses desiring a liquor license within the City of Loveland need to make application to the Local Licensing Authority first. The Authority conducts hearings and makes findings on whether to grant or deny a liquor license. Applicants unfamiliar with the lengthy and detailed application process may want to consult an attorney.
