Welcome
The Community and
Strategic Planning (CSP) Division is an office within the City of
Loveland’s Development Services (DS) Department. The Development
Services Department is organized into five divisions: Administration,
Community Partnerships, Building, Current Planning and Community and
Strategic Planning. The Administration Division coordinates and
supervises the day to day operations and requirements of the Department.
The Community Partnership Office (Cultivating Opportunity,
Proactive Dialogue, and Creative Solutions in our Community)
provides grants to non-profit agencies for human services including
youth services, health care, childcare, domestic violence services and
employment assistance. The Building Division’s mission is to
promote the health, safety and welfare of the community by ensuring that
existing and future buildings and structures are safe for use. (This is
accomplished through quality plan review, inspections and application of
state-of-the-art technology and up-to-date codes.) The Current
Planning Division coordinates the city’s development review process,
ensures outreach to interested citizens and provides staff support to
the Planning Commission and City Council. The mission of the
Community and Strategic Planning Division is to improve the economic
vitality and community livability though comprehensive community
planning, a commitment to safety, and thoughtful economic development in
partnership with community stakeholders. The CSP is also tasked with the
development and maintenance of the City’s Comprehensive and Land Use
Plans, which are a series of policy documents and ordinances that guide
the development of our built environment. Accordingly, the Community and
Strategic Planning Division develops, researches, analyzes, and
communicates land use recommendations and policies that meet Federal,
State and County mandates in a manner that promote effective,
professional and accountable government.
