Children Participate and Learn

The City of Loveland offers an Environmental Education Program at Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park for fourth & fifth-grade students.
The program is designed as a 4-hour field trip focusing on Colorado wildlife, life zones, and canyon plant communities. Students participate in small group learning stations and educational games, view a short slide program about signs of wildlife, and take a hike to search for wildlife signs including scat, tracks, food remains, dens and burrows.
